8 Dreams & Goals For 2018

Happy 2018! A new year brings so much excitement and anticipation, hopes and dreams, goals and wishes. At the beginning of the year I like to reflect on the year that's just passed and also think about what I'd like the new year to bring. This year I thought I'd share my 10 dreams & goals for 2018 with you all.


1. Grow my business. Nourishing Amelia turned into a fully fledged business in 2017 which is something I'm so proud of and something that still seems so surreal. I feel totally privileged to now be my own boss! This year I'd like to expand my business, the ways in which I'm going to be doing this will remain a secret for now but I have a whole load of ideas!

2. Make my new house a home. One of the most exciting this that's happening this year is the fact me and my boyfriend are moving into our first home together! We're moving into our new build 2 bed in February and I cannot wait to really make it our own. Let me know if you'd like to me document that!


3. Travel more. My dreams for travelling have diminished slightly - partly due to the fact it's pretty difficult to with my dietary requirements (being coeliac ain't fun) but also because work is my priority at the moment. However, this year I'd like to visit at least 3 places I've never been before! They don't have to cost a fortune and they don't even have to out of the country - I'd love to visit Bath and I want to go to Edinburgh some time too.

4. Overcome my anxieties. During the latter half of 2017 my anxiety seems to have crept back on me a little which I have been struggling with. I think a lot of different things have played a role in this, but I hope in 2018 I learn to overcome these anxieties and feel happier in general.

5. Be more gentle with myself. I have the tendency to put a whole lot of pressure on myself and I'm my own worst critic, so this year I'd like to change that and be a little kinder to myself.

6. Get into a better routine. I'm a very motivated and disciplined person - I always get up early, I always meet deadlines, I live a healthy lifestyle but I'd like to have a more managed daily routine. I feel like it would help me with my work, my personal life and also de-stress me. Once I move into my own home I feel like this is going to be a whole lot easier! I'd like to have set working days/hours, at least 1 full day off a week and to clear time in my day for things that make me happy.

7. Attend more events. This kind of ties into my overcoming my anxieties, but in 2018 I'd like to attend more blogging events. I've been invited to a few already for the beginning of the year and I'd like to make sure I attend most of them! I find social situations where I don't know anyone very challenging but I'd love to meet new people and have these experiences.

8. Become a more confident driver. I passed my driving test in Spring 2017 which is something I was so proud of and SO happy to have done. I've driven a lot since then and don't have any fear when driving but I'd like to get more confident driving to new places and practice driving in busier traffic.
