Metis Breakfast Crumble - AD -


A fruit crumble has always been one of my favourite foods. It reminds me of being a child - tucking into a big bowl of crumble with custard or ice cream after Sunday lunch was a regular occurrence!

Ever since I got into baking I've made numerous different crumble recipes, but this one I'm sharing today is one of my favourites...for a few reasons. Firstly it's incredibly quick and easy to make with no oven baking involved, it's full of goodness so you can eat it for breakfast and last but not least the recipe stars my new favourite fruit - Metis®!

What is Metis®? Let me tell you.....


Metis® is the newest stone fruit on the block! It's the result of a natural union between a plum and an apricot, and I can assure you it's delicious.

Metis® is completely naturally bred, there's nothing artificial about this beauty! Bees play a leading role in developing the fruit, using natural cross-pollination between selected apricot pollen and plum blooms is the first step. Then the obtained varieties are expertly crossed with plum trees to give you Metis®! Pretty cool, right?

The Metis® family is made up of four members - Oxy Solar, Dark Moon, Safari Star and Sunset Sky. All have unique appearances but all taste super juicy, fresh and scrumptious. What's even better is that Metis® come ripe and ready to eat, so each fruit is perfectly crisp on the outside with a soft flesh on the inside. Yum!
